Top 10 Amazon Finds Every New Mom Needs

Since I became a mom, Amazon has been my go-to for anything I need for my baby. Most of the time I need the item pretty quickly, and Amazon is the best place to order from if you need it delivered fast. I thought I was pretty prepared going to the 4th trimester but turns out there will always be something needed asap, thank goodness for free shipping! Below are my top 10 Amazon finds that every new mom needs. You can find all of my favorites at my Amazon store too!

Dabble Baby Soap

It’s no surprise that everything you purchase for baby needs to be washed with baby-safe soap. I did my research and found that Dabble baby dish soap is a top choice. It gets rid of milk residue, washes away easily, and free of harsh chemicals. I found that Amazon has a 3-pack of full size bottles at a much cheaper price than in stores.

Pacifiers

Going into the 4 trimester, I thought my baby would easily take any pacifier I chose. I’m sure that happens for some, but not for me! He would take one type of pacifier a few times, but then ultimately spit it out. I tried several different types before admitting defeat. 🙂 He was perfectly happy without one. This made going down for naps a little more tricky, but we figured out different methods that worked for him. So, if your little one doesn’t take a pacifier, don’t stress too much like I did. You will find what works for your babe. If you do want to try different kinds of pacifiers, Amazon can get them to you fast! I tried Nanobebe pacifier, Nuk pacifier, Avent pacifiers and Amazon had multiple options for each.

Sleepers/Onsies

No matter how many sleepers, onsies, or outfits you may have, either from purchasing yourself or from your baby showers, it will most likely not be enough. I though I was so prepared with 5-10 newborn onsies and sleepers, a few 0-3 month outfits, a couple 3-6 month and so on. Well I didn’t fully comprehend just how many outfit changes we would have in one day, or how fast he would grow! We ended up doing laundry a couple times a week and also purchasing new outfits on Amazon so they would arrive quickly. Amazon has a TON of multi-packs of onsies, sleepers, pants, shirts, etc. My favorite baby boy outfits are linked HERE on my Amazon store. Aren’t they cute!?

Baby Bath Thermometer

Something I stressed over as a new mom was how to make sure my baby’s bath water wasn’t too hot. I love taking very hot showers so naturally I drew hotter baths. Well, at first I used a food cooking thermometer! I was that paranoid….feel free to judge. 🙂 Well I visited good ‘ol Amazon and of course there is a product that put my mind at ease. Enter the rubber duck thermometer! This cute thermometer floats around in the water and displays either green or red light, indicating whether the water is of proper temperature. Proper temperature for a baby’s bath is 100F and if the temperature goes above 102F the ducky will display a red light and start beeping. For me, this little ducky was worth every penny! I can focus on having a fun bath time with my little one instead of worrying about the water temperature! Win-win! So, if you can relate at all to this, get the ducky!

Fridababy Craddle Cap System

This is something I did not know about until my neighbor mentioned it. It is very common for babies to develop this and it can be treated at home! Craddle cap is scaly patches that appear on baby’s head. Luckily, my little one only had a few minor spots on his head and this system worked like a charm! The Friddababy system comes with a sponge, comb, and brush, although I only used the comb and brush to get the job done. My little has a full head of hair so I use the comb to brush his hair too! You never know when Craddle cap will appear so it’s good to have it on hand!

Baby Carrier

Choosing a baby carrier was a pain point for me. There are tons to choose from and all of them have their pros and cons. I tried a few from Amazon, both structured carriers and wrap carriers, but they just weren’t quite right. I have a smaller frame so I found I had to do a lot of adjusting or extra wrapping to get the carrier to fit right. After many googling sessions, I FINALLY found it, a hybrid carrier! This carrier has the structured belt and shoulder straps, with soft stretchy fabric attached to the straps to wrap around your baby and secure in place. It has 3 carrier positions: newborn front face-in (legs in frog position), baby front face-in (legs out) and front face-out, so this will last for a couple years! I recently switched my baby to forward facing and I love how supportive it is for his hips and bum. He seems very comfy in it! I absolutely love this carrier and so happy I can share this with you! It’s a winner!

Diaper Cream

Like all moms, I’m very careful about what products I use on my little guy. I try to use products that are either all natural or organic when possible. They also have to be effective, of course! Well this diaper cream from Babo Botanicals is THE best! I’m so glad it’s available through Amazon in case we need a quick refill. Sensitive Baby Fragrance-Free All Natural Healing Ointment has 70% organic ingredients, and colloidal oatmeal to help sooth the skin fast. My little guy had very bad diaper rash when he had to be on antibiotics and this cream healed it within a couple days. Have this one in your nursery and in your diaper bag!

Fridababy Thermometer

This thermometer really came in handy when my little guy was a few months old. As a new mom, having my baby battle ear infections was very stressful. Monitoring his fever with the Fridababy thermometer was super easy. The size and shape is perfectly designed so I can safely read his temperature without going in too far. It is a quick read, 10 seconds, which is crucial with a squirming baby. I love the memory feature of it too, so I can keep track of the last temperature read. This thermometer, along with the next product, is a must!

Nasal Aspirator

When my little guy caught a cold and had a very stuffy nose, I used this nasal aspirator from Fridababy to help him breath better. It has multiple suction settings and a small tip that is perfect for little newborn noses. This top comes apart for easy cleaning and has a USB charging part for quick charging. It’s not very noisy either, so my baby didn’t mind it much thankfully! Even if your baby doesn’t have a stuffy nose, it’s definitely necessary to help clear those little noses!

Nursery Cart Organizer

As I designed our nursery, I pictured where the changing table/dresser, crib, and rocker would go. I even organized the closet and had a place for everything. Or so I thought! I was actually following a new mom on Instagram, and she shared how she organized a diaper station using a cart she found on Amazon. I quickly realized that was what I needed right next to the changing table! This nursery cart has two shelves to store diapers, a drawer to store a thermometer, nail filer, nose aspirator, and the top shelf for wipes and diaper cream. It has wheels so it can be mobile if needed, but mine just stays in the nursery. It keeps everything so organized, I love it!

So, as you can see, as a new mom, Amazon has been my go-to for items I need for my baby boy. It will continue to be my go-to as he gets older!
